For more than 55 years, Rileystreet Art Supply has helped people throughout the North Bay discover what they can create.

We are an independently owned art supply store with locations in Santa Rosa and San Rafael, serving everyone from curious beginners and young students to teachers, working artists and lifelong makers. Some customers walk through our doors knowing exactly what they need. Others arrive with little more than an idea. Our purpose is to help each of them take the next step.

Rileystreet has grown alongside the creative communities of Sonoma and Marin counties. Over the decades, we have had the privilege of supporting generations of local artists, students, educators, schools and creative organizations.

Our Santa Rosa store has been voted the Best Art Supply Store in Sonoma County for more than 25 years, and our San Rafael store has long been recognized as a favorite art supply destination in Marin County. We are deeply grateful for that recognition, but what matters most to us is what it represents: the trust and continued support of the community we serve.

Independent stores like ours remain strong because people choose to support them. Every visit, class registration and purchase helps us maintain a level of selection, expertise and creative programming that would not otherwise exist in the North Bay. In turn, we work to return that support through education, outreach and ongoing investment in our local arts community.

In Memory of Charles Becker

The photograph at the top of this page captures the late Charles Becker painting at the front of our San Rafael store. An extraordinarily accomplished and prolific artist, Charles taught at both Rileystreet locations for nearly two decades, sharing his knowledge, encouragement and love of painting with countless students. His influence continues through the many artists whose lives he touched. Charles was more than a respected instructor and artist—he was a dear friend and a cherished member of the Rileystreet family. He is deeply missed.
